I think it is Belgarath the Sorcerer......or something like that. Way cool. I also recommend reading the first three books in the sword of truth series by Goodkind next, if you are enjoying the Eddings novels. But not the Wheel of time series (Robert Jordan)....it doesn't really get that interesting until like book six, and who has the time for that. I just stumbled upon your blog because I am a computer science student at U of O as well and had to make a blog on here for 211 this term. lol random.
